Headed to Winthrop for the Weekend

Headed to Winthrop for the Weekend

We stayed at the Boesel canyon House. After initially looking for places to stay in the area we found that this one was quite over priced. Not only that, when we made the reservation, they misquoted the price per night by $40. Still, it was in a less populated area and very peaceful. We took our motorcycles to the area via Highway 20.

We decided to ride our motorcycles up to the place. After running into a few problems with a flat tire we finally were off riding to our weekend get away.

We left at 1pm from Mill Creek, WA and arrived in Winthrop, WA at about 7pm. Very beautiful scenery on the way but does make for a long motorcycle ride. The place wasn't too difficult to find. You simply look for mile marker 186 on highway 20 (North Cascades Hwy).

The owners, Paul and Kate Jennings, were very pleasant to talk to and generally stayed out of site for the entire time we were there. They were nice enough to let us park our motorcycles on the patio next to the door.
