So how do you set the default logon method for Windows 2008 Server Remote Desktop Services users to use Smart Card / CAC authentication?

Open Notepad, copy and paste the following and save as a .reg file or edit registry directly:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI]
