How to Find the Shared Libraries in use by a UNIX process

When troubleshooting shared library version conflicts for some UNIX applications you might find the need to find out exactly what libraries a particular app is using.

First you will need the process ID.

Run: ps -ef | grep <process name>

IE. ps -ef | grep bash

root 30195 30193 0 12:34 pts/2 00:00:00 -bash
root 2337 30195 0 14:04 pts/2 00:00:00 grep bash

Now you can view the shared libraries using the PID

less /proc/30195/maps
