Logitech Mic in Device Manager but Not Listed in Recording Devices

Found an interesting issue: I have an older LogiTech QuickCam installed on a Windows 7 PC and noticed that the mic was no longer working.  After trying many things(driver clean install, disabling all other sound devices, etc.) I found it was simply conflicting with my USB Xbox controller's mic input jack.  After unplugging the controller, the mic worked like it did before.
