How Do I Copy and Paste Graphic From Adobe PDF File in Windows 8 Reader

How do you copy and paste a screen shot / capture from a full screen application in Windows 8.1 modern UI (formerly known as the 'metro' interface abandoned due to copyright issues)?

There are two ways to copy and paste a screen capture from Windows 8:

1. Use the Send to OneNote Screen Clipping app by pressing windows + Shift + s from within modern UI and drag your mouse in a square fashion which adds the screen capture to your clipboard

2. If you do not have OneNote installed, you can use the windows Snipping Tool:

- Press the windows key (brings you to start menu)

- Type 'snipping' and press <enter>(this will search for the Snipping Tool and Launch it)

- Snap the Modern UI app to one side and the desktop to the other(move mouse to upper left corner of screen and drag Modern UI app such as Microsoft Reader to one side

- Click the New button in the Snipping tool

- Drag your selection by clicking and holding left mouse button and let go after dragging to complete snipping(note: the dimmed screen will disappear but will still be selecting until you let go of left mouse button, it is a function that Microsoft has not fixed yet.)

- Your capture will appear in snipping tool for editing.
