George Hotz (Geohot) Settles With Sony

21-year-old George Hotz, AKA Geohot who currently resides New Jersey, agreed to pull his PS3 jailbreak exploits today releasing a statement: "It was never my intention to cause any users trouble or to make piracy easier."  He however denies any wrongdoing on his part.  Some would ponder if Sony simply paid him off to avoid more legal expenses.

In response to this, a hacker group calling themselves "Anonymous", successfully took several of Sony's websites offline with denial of service attacks.  They released an open statement warning of the attack due to Sony's abuse of the judicial system to censor information on how Sony's products work.

Sony had better be careful who they anger.  Now you will have hackers working on jailbreaks simply out of spite.
