Where is GCC in OS 10.5 (Leopard)?
So you just bought your new Mac and it has been pre-loaded with Leopard (OS 10.5) but you don't have a compiler. Before you go and download GCC, you may want to check out the intallation Disk #1 Optional Installs. From there, you will want to click on Xcode Tools and then click on Packages. There you will find your GCC 4.0 package.
You will want to take a look at the other development packages as well.
Happy programming!
