Device Manager is Running in Read-Only Mode Because It Is Being Accessed from Remote Computer Even Though Logged on Console

DHCP was assigning a different hostname to dns than the real hostname, hence the device manager error.

Either fix the DNS entry or change to a static IP and back to DCHP.

As a side note, NETBIOS hostname limitation is 15 characters.
