Allstate Insurance Cheating Customers

At first, I was very satisfied with Allstate as a home owners insurance company.  That is, up until I was forced to file a claim due to a wind storm here in WA. 

I called in the claim and it took a month to get a claims adjuster out to my location.  Once the adjuster was there, he made promises to cover things that he didn't include on the claim summary later.  We didn't find this out however until he had left the state to return home.  Basically I was issued a check of only $1400.00 for over $10,000 in damages.  We hired a roofer to do a temporary repair and we were only allowed about 1/3 of what it actually cost us to do the repair.  Now over a month later I still have yet to get my roof repaired.

So in short, I think "You're in good hands with Allstate" really means "You're paying for bad service with Allstate".
